What does our agency do?

 

Turismo Bergamo is an agency that was started the 17th of October 2001 for the development and promotion of tourism in Bergamo and the provincial area.
It is a consortium that manages the promotion of tourism in the area as well as occupies itself with all the social and economic aspects of that promotion.

 

The founding members are the Bergamo Province, The Bergamo Chamber of Commerce, and the City hall of Bergamo, and the members that have since then successively joined the consortium are Cooraltur, Vallebrembana.com, The Consortium for the Promotion of Tourism in Bergamo, the A.S.T.R.A. Seriana, The Valle Imagna Consortium of Tourist Agents, The TuriScalve, The Val Calepio Street of Wine and Tastes, The Bergamo Bed & Breakfast Association and the Two Lakes Association.

 

The agency was born with the hopes of developing all the possible initiatives that could valorise and promote tourism in Bergamo respecting and showing its territory and its environment.

 

What is our aim?

 

The agency sets itself the following goals:

-To have a knowledge of the relationship between the consumer market found in the province and its potentiality for maintaining tourism.

-To conduct the market research to better understand this relationship and to improve it. 
 

-To coordinate the actions between public and private tourist operators of the Province of Bergamo and offering them any support to carry out actions and projects.

-The creation of a more fully developed image of the area by means of improved marking ,  creation of innovative programs, and the promotion of public campaigns.

-To have fairs, workshops, meetings and other events in and around Italy.

-The promotion, the development, and the improvement of the means of tourism and the finding of the necessary resources at the local, regional, national, and federational levels to maintain this tourism.
